About ROSÖ

ROSÖ Homes is a Dallas-based builder that custom designs its projects in desired locations. Each home, townhome or development is specifically designed for its individual location and is created by premier local designers & architects. The founders are George Roddy, Jr and Daniel Soto. They both bring their own unique real estate background in construction, analysis and design but combined they have purchased, built or renovated over 10,000 homes in Texas. So know, they have built up a well-engineered process.

The ROSÖ story

Rosö Homes started out of coincidence in November 2015, George Roddy was at one of his fix & flip project and next door, another real estate investor was doing the same (fixing up a worn down house to put on the market). The next-door contractor turned out to be Daniel Soto. Daniel introduced himself and asked if he could walk George's house. While Daniel was walking the house, he gave design ideas, asking George questions about different areas of the house and George's plans for the renovation.   After ten minutes, George could tell that Daniel had talent but what he learned more about Daniel over the next few months as they stayed connected, is that Daniel was humble and a hard worker.  Daniel helped George on several projects over the next few months until one day, Daniel told George that he was going to build a house from ground up on a lot in Garland, Texas.   Daniel asked George to take a look at the neighborhood and the lot itself for his opinion.   That day was on August 11th, 2016. 

Daniel showed George his house plans and they parted ways that day.   Below is a picture of the lot that Daniel purchased to build his first home. 

Fast forward a four weeks later, Daniel called George and he said, “George come over to Garland and look at my new construction project, I’ve got some questions and want your advice on somethings…..”

The two pictures below is what George saw when he pulled up to the same lot.   It had been 27 days.

In 27 days, Daniel was 99% complete on this house.  George almost fainted and immediately asked Daniel about "the numbers" (cost of land, cost of each part of the construction stages).  At that point, George ask Daniel one question "If I can find you lots/land to build on and the money you need to fund each deal, you interested in partnering up?  You focus on the construction and I'll handle the rest." 

Thus, ROSO HOMES was created that next day.   The "RO" is the first two characters of George's last name and the "SO" is the first two letters of Daniel's last name.   George decided to place a "umlaut" diacritic over the second "O" in ROSO, not to change the pronunciation, but rather to symbolize that that their company started with two people from from totally different backgrounds, nationalities and paths, but that when there is synergy, great things happen, almost instantly.     

Since September 7th, 2016, Daniel and George have gone from building one or two homes together to now their company is developing subdivisions, building multifamily & build to rent projects.    They both believe that working together they can offer their clients a superior product for LESS MONEY, IN LESS TIME while still offering a HIGHER QUALITY product that their competition.  Are the biggest home builder in Texas?  Not even close but we want to be the BEST, not the BIGGEST.   

Since 2016, Daniel and George talk at least three times a day, five to six days a week. On Sunday's, they take a break from each other.

We incorporate smart home features, and many of our homes offer conveniences such as touch-sensitive faucets, central vacuum systems and dumbwaiters to effortlessly move groceries and other items between the garage and the kitchen.

ROSO Homes are built with energy-efficient features that enable significantly lower energy costs in comparison to most existing homes. Our homes feature LED lights, programmable Nest thermostats, Energy Star appliances, high-efficiency HVAC systems, tankless water heaters, and Low-E glass windows with the best clarity and solar-gain performance.
